We respect our medical colleagues. Some orthotic devices can interfere with the other therapies your patients are receiving. At Shore Orthotics we consult and communicate with our patients medical professionals, Physiotherapist or other therapist to ensure that the orthotics are compatible with our patients other treatments. We understand that co-operation between medical professions to provide a proper combination of treatments provides the best outcome for our patients.Our Orthotics treatment plans are developed around specific goals based on the patient’s condition. Shore Orthotics will help medical professionals satisfy their patient’s specific requirements and work with them in a collaborative way to ensure the treatment is appropriate and successful.
Based on the diagnosis of the patient, and working in conjunction with the health care professional, we will do the following:
- Consult, evaluate and recommend suitable Orthoses or Prostheses
- Undertake measurements, model modifications and layouts for the device
- Evaluation of the device on the patient
- Advise on the use of the device and on rehabilitation
- Provide instruction on the hygiene and maintenance of the supplied product.
